About Amalie Gamborg

My name is Amalie, I was christened Amalie Gamborg – and that's why I've chosen to use my maiden name as my company name. It tells an important part of my story and my approach to both life and design. I graduated in Design from VIA University College in Herning, formerly known as TEKO.

At Amalie Gamborg, I create collections where functionality, quality, and a love for detail are always in focus.
I work from a belief that we can all take small responsibilities and make a difference – and that means I make an effort to choose good materials and minimize waste – and think of solutions that care for both people and the environment.

With consideration for people and the environment

I prioritize using deadstock fabric and materials already available on the market, as much as possible – rather than always producing new.
For example, I have chosen to drop traditional hangtags where possible and instead use fabric bags with printed information, so they can be reused as travel bags or storage at home, instead of ending up as unnecessary waste.

Quality and multifunctionality

For me, it's about creating products that can do more than one thing. Functionality, durability, and good quality are always fundamental elements in my work – and I don't promise more than I can deliver.
I put a lot of effort into everything I do and never compromise on quality or utility.

Collections from the heart

My first collection – ELEONORA

ELEONORA is my first collection – named after my first child – and was created during my own pregnancy and maternity leave.
It was born out of a very specific need: I missed beautiful, functional, and flexible clothing that could keep up with my body and my everyday life.

The collection consists of multifunctional shirts and trousers in woven qualities, designed to be worn before, during, and after pregnancy – and for everything else life holds.
Breastfeeding, work, social events, weight changes, everyday life. The collection is designed for it all.

Details like hidden zippers, smocking, wrinkle-free materials, and flexible cuts make each style a practical and aesthetic choice – again and again.

While I waited… With Love From came into the world

While I was waiting for the ELEONORA collection to arrive from production, the idea for a small side collection emerged – and I ended up launching that too.

With Love From is a personal and heartfelt series where customers' own children's drawings are embroidered on organic T-shirts.
A tribute to the doodles we can't bear to throw away – and a way to carry our love with us in everyday life.

As a mother of two, I know how many drawings fill the home – and how few truly stick in the heart.
Precisely those drawings get new life here: as a T-shirt you wear, sleep in, pack in your suitcase – or save forever.
