How do I order a T-shirt with embroidery of a child's drawing?

You simply choose the size and upload a picture of the drawing when ordering. I convert the drawing into a PNG file, then create an embroidery file, and embroider it onto the T-shirt.

Which drawings are best suited?

Drawings with clear lines – preferably felt-tip pen rather than pencil – simple shapes, and few colors look best as embroidery. If you're unsure, you're always welcome to send me the drawing in advance!

What is the delivery time?

Since all T-shirts are custom-made for you, the delivery time is normally 7-14 business days. During busy periods, it may take a little longer, but you will always be notified if there are delays.

Can I get embroidery on something other than T-shirts?

Currently, I only offer embroidery on the T-shirts available in the shop. If you have special requests, please feel free to write to me – I love new ideas, and perhaps we can find a solution!

Can I return or exchange my T-shirt?

Since your T-shirt is custom-made with personal embroidery, there is no right of withdrawal.
If there are defects in the item, I will naturally help you find a solution.

How should the T-shirt be washed?

Wash the T-shirt inside out at 40 degrees, and avoid tumble drying to best care for the embroidery.

Are the materials organic and responsibly sourced?

Yes! All T-shirts are made from organic cotton, and I make an effort to choose materials and suppliers with consideration for both people and the environment, where possible.

Can I have multiple T-shirts made with the same drawing?

Yes, you can order several T-shirts with the same motif – just contact me for a good price on multiple items. We also regularly have campaigns with 2 for a better price.

Do you use AI to create embroideries?

No, I manually convert the drawing to PNG in Adobe Illustrator, and then I use an embroidery program to create the embroidery file, which I also manually edit. You can find a detailed description of the process if you wish.

What does it mean that you/I digitize the drawing?

With the uploaded image (PDF or JPG), I convert it into a vector file (PNG), where I manually isolate the image in Adobe Illustrator, remove "noise," and simplify colors and shapes. After that, I convert the PNG file into an embroidery file, which I fine-tune and remove unnecessary "stitches." I select the colors that best represent the child's drawing, with an aesthetic sense for everyday adult wardrobes. I measure and mark where the embroidery should be placed, set the T-shirt in the embroidery hoop, set up the embroidery machine, and start it. The T-shirt is ironed, refined, packed, and shipped.

What is the size and placement of the embroidery?

The placement is on the left chest, and the size varies, but as a rule, it is max. 5 x 8 cm. If you wish for a larger embroidery, you are always welcome to contact me for a special order at info@amaliegamborg.dk.
